From March 28th to April 3rd, every donation to Salthaven West will be matched up to $20,000 thanks to TWO anonymous donors. This matching fundraiser will help support the ongoing capital campaign to build an urgently needed Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. Our ability to continue providing rehabilitation services hinges on achieving our fundraising goal. Without this new facility, our operations could face serious disruption.
Our most recent e-newsletter shares our exciting matching fundraiser initiative, helpful wildlife tips, and wildlife patient stories from some of our most recent intakes: https://mailchi.mp/b58ce7367374/salthaven-west-mar2025
A new and expanded Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for southern Saskatchewan has been a goal that Salthaven West has been working towards for years. We are beyond thrilled to announce that we will be a part of the amazing Sherwood RM community! We have been welcomed into this community with outstretched arms and outpouring support. We know we are HOME. This support means everything to us and the wildlife we serve.
Salthaven West is a registered charitable Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre located in Regina, Saskatchewan. As an essential service, we field and divert over 5,000 calls from emergency services each year addressing wildlife-related issues. Salthaven West takes in 1,400 wildlife patients from over 110 cities, towns, villages, and communities across southern Saskatchewan, ensuring wildlife receive the appropriate care at a licensed facility.
Our new location, just five minutes north of Regina, provides the ideal setting for our Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. This new space will allow us to stay deeply connected with our community, increase our capacity to rehabilitate more wildlife, and expand our educational outreach efforts for decades to come. Together with the Sherwood RM community, we are building a future that safeguards the wellbeing of our precious wildlife.
Our fundraising efforts are crucial to ensure we can continue our work without interruption. We need to raise the remaining $500,000 minimum towards the build of our new wildlife facility so we can be operational in the new space by spring 2025 – as this is the final year that we can operate out of our current clinic. Every donation counts! Visit our website to learn more and donate to help us build our 3000 sq/ft wildlife rehabilitation facility: https://www.salthaven.org/fundraising-west
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey and for your unwavering dedication toward wildlife.
