RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF SHERWOOD NO. 159
A proposed Bylaw, (Bylaw No. 20/17) to amend the RM of Sherwood Official Community Plan (Bylaw 16/16) in the RM of Sherwood No. 159
Public notice is hereby given that the RM of Sherwood No. 159 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw 16/16, known as the RM of Sherwood Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 16/16.
Purpose: Bylaw 20/17 is intended to allow the RM to use their discretion to exclude certain areas from a Secondary/Concept Plan due to a minor residential subdivision, physical severance created by a watercourse, natural boundary, highway, railway, major electrical transmission line, and high-pressure pipeline or a parcel that is not included in the proposed development; and to allow for lots that range in size from 5 acres to no maximum provided the remaining quarter section is no less than 120 acres.
Affected Land: All lands designated Rural Residential under the RM of Sherwood Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 16/16.
Reason: To allow a residential subdivision from Parcel A, NE 27-17-21-W2.
A proposed Bylaw, (Bylaw No. 21/17) to amend the Rural Municipality of Sherwood No. 159 Zoning Bylaw (Bylaw No. 7/11) in the RM of Sherwood No. 159
Public notice is hereby given that the RM of Sherwood No. 159 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw 7/11, known as the RM of Sherwood Zoning Bylaw No. 7/11.
Intent: Bylaw 21/17 is intended to re-zone the area within the bold dashed line from Agricultural District (AG1) to Small Lot Agricultural District (AG2) shown on the map below.
Affected Land: The lands to be re-zoned are legally described as Blk/Par A, Plan 101433406 Pt NE 27-17-21-W2 and is the area within the bold dashed line in the map below.
Reason: To allow a residential subdivision from Parcel A, NE 27-17-21-W2.
Public Inspection: Any person may inspect the proposed bylaws at the RM of Sherwood Office between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays. Copies are available at cost. The bylaws are also available on the RM of Sherwood website:

Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at 5:30 pm in the Council chambers at the RM of Sherwood Office to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the RM of Sherwood office before the hearing.
