RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF SHERWOOD NO. 159


A proposed Bylaw (Bylaw No. 5/17) to amend Bylaw No. 6/11 in the R
M of Sherwood No. 159

Public notice is hereby given that the RM of Sherwood No. 159 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 6/11, known as the RM of Sherwood No. 159 Official Community Plan.

Intent:  Bylaw 5/17 is intended to re-designate the area within the bold dashed line from Agricultural District (AG1) to Small Lot Agricultural Area shown on the map below. Bylaw 5/17 is also intended to exempt the concept plan requirement where an Agricultural Area to be re-designated to Small Lot Agricultural Area where previously considered by Council for Small Lot Agricultural Area and where the subdivision application of that area is supported for approval.

Affected Land: The lands to be re-designated are legally described as Pt NW 22-18-19-W2 and are the area within the bold dashed line in the map below.

Reason:  The reason for the amendment is to accommodate the subdivision of a 10-acre residential lot for a future dwelling.

 

A proposed Bylaw (Bylaw No. 6/17) to amend Bylaw No. 7/11 in the RM of Sherwood No. 159

Public notice is hereby given that the RM of Sherwood No. 159 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 7/11, known as the RM of Sherwood No. 159 Zoning Bylaw.

Intent:  Bylaw 6/17 is intended to re-zone the area within the bold dashed line from Agricultural District (AG1) to Small Lot Agricultural District (AG2) shown on the map below.

Affected Land: The lands to be re-zoned are legally described as Pt NW 22-18-19-W2 and is the area within the bold dashed line in the map below.

Reason:  The reason for the amendment is to accommodate the subdivision of a 10-acre residential lot for a future dwelling.

Public Inspection:  Any person may inspect the proposed bylaws at the RM of Sherwood office between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays.  Copies of the bylaw are available at cost.  The bylaw is also available on the RM of Sherwood website: www.rmofsherwood.ca

Public Hearing:  Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the Council chambers at the RM of Sherwood Office to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws presented in the order listed in this ad.  Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the RM of Sherwood office before the hearing.
