The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, September 30, will be recognized by the RM of Sherwood No. 159.

The RM of Sherwood is located on Treaty 4 land, an area rich in Indigenous history and the heartland of the Metis in Canada. This year’s observance of September 30 will be particularly important given the proximity to the discovery of unmarked graves in our neighbouring community of Cowessess First Nation. Remembering those who never made it home and honouring the survivors who are our friends, neighbours and fellow citizens will help our journey forward.

The RM of Sherwood Office will be closed on Thursday, September 30th.  Regular hours will resume on Friday, October 1st, 2021.
