Civic Addressing
Bylaw No. 17/20 Civic Addressing Bylaw
All developed parcels in the RM of Sherwood require a civic address. This includes our Industrial Parks and Rural Residential Parcels.
Rural civic addressing is a program created in collaboration with the Government of Saskatchewan to improve public safety by aiding in emergency response planning and dispatch in rural areas by providing addressing like what would be found in an urban municipality. It can also be used to enhance accuracy of delivery/collection services, increase efficiency in deploying property-based utility connections and simplify placement of rural street signs.
All sites developed after January 1, 2021, will need to apply to the RM of Sherwood for a civic address. The RM of Sherwood will be responsible for ordering and installing the signs and the property owner will be responsible for the cost.
- Sign with a post $140.00 + $7.00 GST + $8.40 PST = $155.40 (Payable at time of application)
- Sign without post for Fence Installation $100.00 + $5.00 GST + $6.00 PST = $111.00 (Payable at time of application)
