Meeting Agendas & Minutes

Meeting Agendas

All Regular Council Meetings are held every second (2nd) Wednesday of each month.

Special Council Meetings are held to discuss certain matters as advertised through Public Notice by the R.M.

According to the Section 123 of The Municipalities Act, SS 2005, c M-36.1, Special Council Meetings are subject to the following regulations:

  1. The administrator shall call a special council meeting whenever requested to do so by the mayor or reeve or by a majority of the councillors.
  2. For the purposes of subsection (1), the administrator shall call a special council meeting by giving notice at least 24 hours before the meeting to each member of council and to the public stating:
         a) the purpose of the meeting; and
         b) the date, time and place at which it is to be held.
  3. Notwithstanding subsection (2), a special council meeting may be held with less than 24-hours’ notice to the members of council, and without notice to the public, if all members of council waive notice in writing with respect to that meeting before its commencement.
  4. No business other than that stated in the notice is to be transacted at a special meeting of the council unless all members of council are present, in which case, by unanimous consent, any other business may be transacted.

Agendas are uploaded prior to each Council meeting.

Meeting Minutes

Council Meeting Minutes are available the month after the meeting takes place. Meeting minutes must be approved by Council before they can be posted for public viewing, therefore the minutes are made available after they have been approved at the next Regular Council Meeting.
