SaskPower is testing and replacing overhead transformers in several areas around Saskatchewan.
Their crews and contractors will do their best to minimize the impact to you. In some cases, power outages may be needed. If a power outage is required, their crews will let you know using a door hanger. You can also learn about planned power outages at SaskPower Outages or by downloading the SaskPower app and subscribing to outage alerts for your area.
The testing and replacing of transformers is part of a multi-year program that will see SaskPower inspect approx. 34,000 overhead transformers in the province. From now until March 31, 2019, you’ll see their crews and contractors working in the following areas:
- Saskatoon city
- Rural area west of Saskatoon
- Rural west area of Saskatchewan
- Melfort
- Wynyard
- Regina city
- Rural area surrounding Regina
- Weyburn
- Shaunavon
- Kindersley
