Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining all roadways, bridges, culverts and signs within the R.M. of Sherwood.  As well as maintaining and operating the water distribution system within the Sherwood Industrial Park located directly north of Regina along Highway # 6.  Residents/ratepayers are encouraged to report road issues, missing signs, plugged culverts, etc.

The annual operating budget for 2016 is $3.73 million.  In 2016 our capital works projects include asphalt paving of the Inland Drive (final lift), paving of the Welling’s subdivision, replacement of 3 bridges (Sherwood Forest, Old 16 and Center Road) and development of new wells for a future WTP in the Sherwood Industrial Park, for a total estimated cost of $6.2 million.
