As per Resolution of Council No. 267/06, a policy for retrieving archived documents has been set forth as follows:
From time to time individuals call the municipal office requesting copies of various documents. The municipality incurs considerable costs in clerical time spent accessing and retrieving historical documents for various reasons as they are taken away from their normal day-to-day duties within the office.
We currently have a policy to charge a fee for photocopying but not for providing the service of document accessing and retrieval. It would seem appropriate that individuals requesting document retrieval should pay the cost of this service.
Administration will charge for accessing and/or retrieval of old documents in the amount of $25.00 per hour or portion thereof to a minimum rate of $10.00.
